How does it work?
Those who already own commissions by Peter
know that he likes to keep a somewhat flexible schedule due to the
diverse amount of work that he has on.
There are several ways in which commission
work is set out:
- Size
- Medium
- Subject
- Payment arrangements
- Time
- Viewing and presentation
|
|
- Size
For the most part, size is not an issue! However, obviously prices will
vary as sizes vary
- Medium
Most of Pete’s work is a beautiful fusion of airbrush and intricate
linear work with gouache on museum board, however, oils, acrylics, pen
and aquarelle (watercolour pencils) are all entirely within Peters means
and available should you require them as your chosen specific medium.
For those of you who may wish to give Pete an alternative challenge,
you may already be aware that Pete being Pete will welcome it with his
usual bohemian vivacity!
- Subject
With his reputation verifying him as an artist who thrives on entwining
different worlds within the different passages of our times, there is
no limit to the possibilities of composition regarding commissions.
Peter is always inspired by any opportunity to explore new horizons.
- Payment arrangements
Due to the time span involved with any original commission, flexibility
for both Peter and his clients is his prime concern. There are two ways
to make payment arrangements:-
a)A non returnable deposit of 25% followed by monthly instalments as
agreed between Peter and client that can be paid either by cheque, standing
order or through the card facilities available at the Tintagel gallery.
b) Full payment upfront if the client so wishes it.
- Time
Depending on the size and complexity, the average original usually takes
Peter 3 months or so. Time also depends on how many commissions Peter
already has scheduled. This is why most clients prefer to pay by instalment
so that their original is being created as they are paying for it.
- Viewing and presentation
It is always possible to view the work in progress. Peter very much
enjoys this element of commission work as it allows him further interaction
and inspiration with his clients. If you are unable to visit his studio
in person, regular previews via email and the freedom to contact both
himself and Nicola via telephone are welcome. Once your commission is
complete simply specify how you wish to have it mounted and framed and
Nicola will take care of that for you.
